5-step formula for women to bring their business ideas to life
If you have a great business idea, it is important that you find creative ways to bring it to life. This is the only way to see how your dreams come true. So it is time to take action immediately. With this in mind, I'm surprised at how many women have great ideas but don't have the resources or expertise to take their idea to the next level.
Over the years, I have worked with many women to help them start a business and taught them how to better showcase their expertise and passion. For many women who were already at work but were looking for a better job or position, it was also important to show them how important it is to have a good online profile and personal CV. Sometimes it's not just about training and work experience, but also with the right action verbs and show your expertise in the right way.
Regardless of whether it's a traditional resume, social profile, or even an established company, it's important to make sure you understand your goals and how you can achieve them. and would like to share some of the advice with you. I believe that if you have a clear path to what to do, you can build your business and make your dream come true sooner than you think.
Today we're going to look at the following:
- Get started online
In order for your idea to come to life, you need to know who your audience is so that you know if you have an actual market. Many ideas fail because there is simply no market where the public's idea is far too low. If no one reads your content or buys your product, you will find it difficult to attract employees and increase sales. The good news is that you can start your search for free using Google search. I like to enter a keyword related to my idea and see what kind of search results are shown. When multiple websites appear in search results, you know that you have a popular idea and can make money from it.
I know many of you get nervous when you see others already doing the same thing as you, but I love it because it gives me the opportunity to learn so much from them. By studying your competition, you can learn from your audience which marketing methods work and what you should focus on in terms of products and content. Once you have completed your research and know that you have an audience, you can proceed to the next step.
Get started online
It's time to register a domain. This can be done on websites like GoDaddy.com. I recommend choosing a domain that represents your brand and has no more than 8-12 characters. The shorter the domain, the easier it is for users to remember. This means that they have no problem returning to your website.
Once you have registered your domain, you can purchase hosting so that you can go live with your website in due course. The hosting package depends on the type of business you run. However, I would recommend starting with a simple split plan. This is very affordable and allows you to upgrade as your business continues to grow. I know that starting a business can cost a lot. It is therefore better to always start with the lowest possible plan and then upgrade. With your hosting plan, you can install WordPress, a free platform for creating websites. In the backend there is an installation tutorial that only requires a click of a button.
You have installed your domain, hosting and WordPress. Before you start thinking about a design, I would look at some tutorials on using WordPress if this is your first time. There is a lot online and on YouTube. You have access to many free themes, but keep the following in mind before designing:
- Your main colors
- Your purpose
- Layout (visit other websites to do research)
The design of your website increases or decreases engagement. Therefore, it is important that you do your research to get it right. One way is to study your competition and see what they did with their website. They have been around for a while and I am sure that they know what works and what does not.
Just like we pointed out the importance of Create a professional resume or an online profile that allows you to stand out from the crowd also applies to your website or blog. It has to look professional, arouse user interest and at the same time gain confidence in the process.
Visit 2-3 competitor blogs and take notes on their design before implementing them on your website. Here are some things that I know work very well –
- Font – Make sure that the font you use is very easy on the eyes. The more readable, the more engagement you get because visitors don't leave.
- Color – Use colors that are easy on your eyes because hard colors push people away. I was on so many websites for just a few seconds because the colors would be too difficult to see.
- Right Sidebar – This is the best place for the sidebar as people are used to it. The right sidebar has gotten used to many bloggers and readers expect the sidebar to appear there. This is a great place to add banners, recent posts, new products and services.
- Top navigation – you have the menu above as this is the first thing people should see. You can explore options and navigate wherever you want.
For a company to be successful, you need to find creative ways to market it. However, the internet has expanded your options considerably. So explore what is available. I recommend starting with social media marketing as you can increase brand awareness very cheaply. I promoted a penny "LIKE" on Facebook and this made a huge contribution to building brand awareness. To further increase your loyalty, you should create a brand page where people can join and follow.
You should also do a quick search on Google and read resources on other marketing channels as there are many good ones available. I would recommend the following that I tried and tested –
- Social media (Facebook)
- Media purchases
It's just trial and error because some work better than others. Make sure you try out and track stats every 30 days. This way you know which traffic source brought the best traffic and which channels are converted. Marketing can be expensive. So make sure you set a monthly budget so you don't spend too much. I want to set a budget of $ 3.00 to $ 5.00 a day and let it run for 30 to 60 days.
One of the best ways to build your brand quickly and it costs nothing. This takes a lot of effort because you have to reach other bloggers in your niche. It's a mutually beneficial relationship because you both promote each other's business. Imagine you are contacting a blogger with 100,000 Twitter followers? This can generate a lot of traffic in a very short time. First, create a list of blogs in your niche and contact the owner. It is helpful to interview them or create content based on their brand, as this increases the likelihood that they will later share your website. The key is to really contact them and let them know what you are trying to do so that you can work out an agreement that helps each other.
The best way to get in touch is to not give up after you contact a blogger for the first time. Sometimes you'll hear from the blogger right away, and sometimes you'll need to do a quick follow-up.
If you have a great idea and want to bring it to life, follow the steps outlined above. These are proven steps, and I've worked with women in the past to set up blogs, do research, and do marketing. Try different things and stick to what works for optimal success.
